Culpin Family Wills

Wills provide a useful source of information for family history. The ones included here have been mainly written in English but earlier ones follow the same general form but were written in Latin. Very often they indicate the names of spouces or children as well as the items they are leaving. In wills of this date it is unusual to find reference to land. Land was the property of the local Lord of the Manor, property God's!

These wills have been transcribed carefully but may cantain errors, users must contact the local record office and obtain an official copy of the will.
